Norasport
are pleased to be returning to Louth with the 09
National Supermoto Championship in support to the Manby
Landrover Show on 27th and 28th June
at the Manby Motorplex.
We feel
privileged to be part of the show, says John Claire our
local grown “clerk of the course”, who will be doing his
stuff in presenting the top riders’ and drivers’ of this
well exciting discipline of motorsport. We have three main
categories competing in the Championship, namely solo
motorbikes, British Superquaders, and the unique lightweight
dirt buggies known as Superlites. Please come over and have
a look to see if you can walk away without being impressed.
You may find it more difficult to do than you think. You are
halfway there already by being a ‘petrol head’ with an
interest in motorsport.
Break down the
categories, the bikes are grouped – Youth, 450, and open
class and start in grids of up to 30 machines in each class,
which can make the first few corners and jumps a wonder to
behold. How do they all manage to stay intact at such high
speeds? There can be no better thrill than watching these
bikers “backing it in” into those fast corners of the tarmac
sections. Then again, they are equally impressive on the
dirt and over the jumps, which the superquaders and
Superlites have to tackle with equal speed and enthusiasm,
timed practice followed by racing on each day.
See you there.
Yours in sport - Toby
